Super_Collider - It Won’t Be Long
Super_Collider was the production duo I formed in Brighton with Jamie Lidell back in the late 90s. We sculpted two albums only, and made many improvisation based concerts.
I posted this today, because someone mentioned it in an email, saying it looked like the video was made today…. (that might be because Dawn Shadforth who shot it for RIdley Scott’s Black Dog Films in 1999, is also really talented)
People always ask if me and Jamie are going to make any more music, and although I will never rule that out completely, its pretty clear that Jamie’s career right now is a full-time job, and I don’t think he has time for unfunded side projects. Personally, I think it would be really interesting to try again now.
Super_Collider wasn’t just about me and Jamie, it involved the efforts of a bunch of our friends in Brighton, Pablo Fiasco the filmaker toured with us everywhere, doing all the film visuals and documentation. Check out his YouTube channel…

Incidentally, almost all the lyrics of the first album “HEAD ON” were derived from generative poetry outputted by a Mac program by Chris Westbury called McPoet now known as JanusNode …… hence the totally wild semantic style
